Virginia Irene. Tadajewski, age 98, of Alpena, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, at Turning Brook.
On September 14, 1922, Virginia was born to the late John and Frances (Kierzek) Kieliszewski in Alpena, Michigan. She married Theodore J. Tadajewski on March 6, 1943, at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church in Posen, Michigan; he preceded her in death after 36 years, on July 27, 1979. She was a seamstress and a caterer. Virginia was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and their Rosary Society Group #19. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, the Detroit Tigers and watching the Detroit Red Wings with her Manhattan.
She is survived by her three children: Carl (Karen) Tadajewski of Alpena, MI; Joan (Dale) Borske of AuGres, MI; and Roger (Lisa) Tadajewski of Edmond, OK; nine grandchildren: Brad (Erica) Tadajewski, Stacey Tadajewski, Bret Borske, Devin Borske, Stephanie Tadajewski, Michelle Tadajewski, Hallie Tadajewski, Lauryn Willett and Taylor Willett; one great-grandson: Luke Borske; one brother Clifford Kieliszewski; two sisters Mary Ann Benkert of Saginaw, MI and Emily (Alton) Cantrell of Denver, CO; along with several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her infant son John; two brothers: Harry and Daniel Kieliszewski; five sisters: Frances Kieliszewski, Blondie Kieliszewski, Alice Tadajewski, Jane Krajnik, and Rita Losinski.
The family of Virginia Tadajewski would like to extend their gratitude to the Turning Brook Staff for their loving care and family support. Virginia enjoyed keeping everyone on their toes with her lively spirit. We would also like to thank Hospice of Michigan for their compassion on making Virginia's remaining time comfortable.
Family and friends will gather at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for Visitation on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 4 pm until 8 pm with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 pm. Visitation will continue at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Saturday, June 5, 2021, from 10 am until the 11 am Funeral Service with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating begins.
