Thomas C Stepanski

Thomas C. Stepanski, age 74, of Alpena passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
He was born on December 3, 1941 to the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Romel) Stepanski Sr. in Alpena, MI. Thomas worked at Huron Portland Cement Plant as a Burner Operator in Kiln Room #5 for 22 years, retiring in 2002, and later worked for Wal-Mart as an assembler. He enjoyed listening to the baseball games on the radio, fishing, boating, gardening, his flowers and loved his scooter rides around town.
Thomas is survived by his five children: Mary Stepanski (Fritz Franke) of Charlottesville, VA; Christine (Mark) Novota of Boston, Mass; Ann Stepanski of Breckenridge, CO; Stephen Stepanski of Tenn; and Thomas Stepanski II of Charlottesville, VA. His 6 grandchildren: Daniel and Anisa Stepanski, Kevin, Sydney, and Jada Saylor, Chase Novota and 2 great-grandchildren: Carson and Graelynn Stepanski. Along with three brothers Arthur, Joseph (Jr.), and Raymond Stepanski all of Alpena, and his three sisters Margaret Grambau of Rogers City; Theresa (Patrick) Dignan of Alpena; and (Foster-Sister) Geraldine (Clare) Kaiser of Alpena, plus several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother Clement Stepanski, and his three sisters Alice Brousseau, Jeanette Stepanski, and Elaine Olsen, along with his granddaughter Casaundra Stepanski.
Family and friends will gather on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral home for visitation from 10 am until the 11 am Memorial Service begins with Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating at the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. Followed by Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496.
