Scott Edward Stack, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center Tawas. Born on September 15, 1966, in Flint, Michigan, Scott was a beacon of joy and warmth in the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Following his graduation from Tawas High School, where he distinguished himself as an accomplished athlete, particularly in basketball, Scott began a career rooted in hard work and dedication. His journey led him to join the United States Navy in 1986, where he completed submarine school and achieved significant accomplishments that reflected his strong character and commitment to service. Scott worked alongside his stepfather, Don Leitz, learning to operate heavy equipment, which sparked a lifelong passion. He then became a proud member of the operators engineers, operating heavy machinery until an injury in 2004 redirected his path.

Scott’s personality was as vibrant as his achievements. He was a kind, fun-loving individual with an infectious smile that could brighten anyone’s day. He embraced life wholeheartedly, dedicating himself not only to his work but also to fostering relationships filled with laughter and love. The joy he brought into the lives of others was immeasurable, and he will be remembered fondly by the many friends who were graced by his presence.

Family was incredibly important to Scott. He is survived by his two beloved children, Jakob (Sara) Stack and Jordan (Caleb Worth) Stack, who were a source of endless pride for him. His heart swelled with love for his grandchildren Gianna, Jagger, Zayli, Mylo, Hunter, and Allison, and Blaykley, who brought him immense joy every day. Scott's mother, Rita (Don) Leitz, as well as his sister, Lisa (Jeff) Stack, and his stepsiblings, Vicki (Tim) Kibby, Linda (Marcus) Bennett, and Diane (John) Leitz, alongside his aunt, Tammy Ulrich, his nieces, Brooklyn, and Veronica, and nephew Kelton, will hold his memory close, cherishing the countless moments they shared.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Stack, and loving grandparents, Albert (Helen) Stack, and Arthur (Maude) Ross Sr. Though his physical presence may no longer grace this world, the legacy of his warmth, humor, and unwavering spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those he touched.
