Ruth V. Beaubien

Ruth V. Beaubien, age 89, of Alpena passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 20, 2018, surrounded by her family.
On February 25, 1928, Ruth was born to the late Adolph and Rose (Hartman) Abend in Ossineke, Michigan. She married Nelson Beaubien on August 2, 1947, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on May 11, 1996. Ruth was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
She is survived by her 8 children: Michael Beaubien, Paul Beaubien both of Alpena, MI; Patricia Pierzynowski, Kathy (Larry) Suban both of Trenton, MI; Susan (Nelson) Eskridge of Sacramento, CA; Audrey (Rick) Jarmiel of Lincoln Park, MI; Brian Beaubien of Rancho Cordova, CA; and Joel (Kim) Beaubien of Kansas City, MO; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One brother William (Bunnie) Abend of Ossineke and several nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her grandson Nicholas Suban, one brother Albert Abend and one sister Velma Marchand.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 pm - 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial begins at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Robert Bissot officiating.
