Richard 'Dick' D. Ableidinger

Richard "Dick" Ableidinger, age 79, of Lachine, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 18, 2016.
Dick was born on February 18, 1937, to the late Gordon and Zelda (Brooker) Ableidinger in Carrington, ND. On August 9, 1964, Richard married Judy DeKett in Alpena at the Community of Christ Church. He served in the United States Army in Germany and Korea. Later worked for Abitibi Price retiring after 25 years of service.
Dick is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Judy, and their daughter Sarah (William) Newhouse of North Dakota. His two grandchildren Elly and Lily Newhouse. His brother Michael (Esther) Ableidinger of Alpena. Many nieces and nephews, and several grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Delton Ableidinger.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, from 12 noon until the 3pm Funeral Service with Evangelist Lynn Field officiating. Followed by Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496.
