Marlene Marie Werda, 87, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2023 at Davison Family Home. Marlene was born on September 5, 1936 to the late Delmar Daly and Sybil Barton in Alpena, Michigan. She attended St. Bernard’s Catholic School as well as the church prior to her moving to Pontiac. They were married and raised their family together for nearly 29 years until he preceded her in death in 1991.
Marlene sold Avon products for over 30 years and enjoyed all of her customers. She also was the recipient of many prestigious performance awards including the “spirit of Avon” award. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, All Saints Rosary Society, Alpena Lifelong Learners, and a lifetime member of VFW Post 2496. Marlene enjoyed singing, playing board games, reading, learning about history, and country music.
Marlene was a loving mother and often was a part of helping many that knew her. She leaves behind her children, Greg, Cindi, Francie, and Scott, seven grandchildren, and many friends.
