Margaret 'Margie' Greengtski

            Margaret (Margie) Greengtski, age 81, of Alpena formerly of Posen, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, January 21, 2019, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena.

            On December 4, 1937, Margie was born in Maple Ridge Township to the late Walter L. and Lillian (Kasubowski) Suszek Sr. She married Alphonse "George" Roznowski who preceded her in death in 1967; later she married Sylvester Greengtski and he preceded her in death in 1994.  Margie worked on various farms in Posen as a potato grader.  She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Margie had strong work ethic and loved spending her time baking bread and pies, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

            Margie is survived by her 8 children: Allen Roznowski of Leesburg, FL; Leonard (Patti) Roznowski of Long Rapids, MI; Douglas (Paulette) Roznowski of Maple Ridge, MI; Julie (Steve) Campbell of Greenville, SC; Margie Boyar of Anderson, SC; Susan (Bill) Richard of Long Rapids, MI; George Roznowski of Presque Isle, MI; and Barbara (Lee) Grant of Alpena, MI; 15 grandchildren: Wayne, Bryan, Jason, Dustin and Forrest Roznowski, Jessica Sumerix, Leanne O'Connell, Andrew and Kelly Campbell, John and James Boyar, Alisha Richard, Wyatt, Blake, and Emma Grant; 8 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her two brothers: Walter L. Suszek Jr. and Martin Suszek along with one sister: Doris Misiak.  

            Family and friends will gather for visitation at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 2pm until 8pm with a Parish Prayer Service at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 25, 2019, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial begins with Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating. 

            Internment: St. Casmir Cemetery in Posen, Michigan

            Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in memory of Margie.
