Lancelot 'Lance' L. Kendziorski

Lancelot L. "Lance" Kendziorski, age 91, of Alpena passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 17, 2017, surrounded by his family.
On May 3, 1926, Lancelot was born in Alpena, Michigan to the late Leo and Mary (Martin) Kendziorski. Lance served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 17th Airborn. He married Marie Kline on July 14, 1947, she preceded him in death on Oct. 20 1961. On February 18, 1983, he married Maria "Eneida" Marchena-Gomez in Costa Rica. Lance operated the Made Rite Potato Chip Company in Alpena, owned The Home Improvement company and was later the owner and operator of Arrow Realty retiring after 43 years. A member of the V.F.W., D.A.V., the Polish Legion, and St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish. He loved spending his spare time in the great outdoors and traveling.
Lance is survived by his loving wife Maria of 34 years, and his 5 children: David Kendziorski of Otter Lake, MI; Ronald (Cindy) Kendziorski of Ohio; Dianne (Bob) Wikarasz of Alpena, MI; Wayne (Yvonne) Kendziorski of Alpena, MI; and Lance Kendziorski II of Presque Isle. 11 grandchildren: Chrissy, Michelle, Charlie, Ronny, Jonna, Jamie, Elizabeth, Jill, Danielle, Halie, and Athena, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. His one brother Dale Kendziorski of Alpena, MI. And his wonderful family in Costa Rica.
He was preceded in death by his son Scott Kendziorski, four brothers: Miles, Richard, Warren, and Daniel Kendziorski, a sister Sybil Mischley.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 11 a.m. until the 3 p.m. Funeral Service begins with Rev.Fr James Fitzpatrick and Rev.Fr James Kendziorski officiating at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. Followed by Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post 2496.
