Kellie Alexander, lovingly known as "Ma," passed away on December 17, 2024, in her hometown of Alpena, Michigan, at the age of 63. Born on April 9, 1961, she brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. The daughter of the late Norman J. and MaryAnn (Sylvester) Alexander, Kellie was a radiant light whose spirit touched numerous lives.
For many years, Kellie dedicated herself to her career as a bartender at various establishments, including the Elks Lodge, Mr. D's, and most notably, Tuskies. Her charm and engaging personality made her a beloved figure, not just among patrons, but within the entire community. She had a remarkable ability to create bonds with everyone she met, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of many.
Kellie’s true passion resided in her family. She treasured spending time with her two children, Timmy (Jackie) and Kristen, as well as her seven beautiful grandchildren, Sinjin, Eli, Riley, Halie, Bailie, Carter, and Logan. Whether it was cheering from the sidelines at their ball games or sharing in everyday moments, her love for them knew no bounds. Her grandchildren were not just a source of pride; they were the very heartbeat of her life.
An avid gardener, Kellie took immense pride in nurturing her vegetable garden, which served as a testament to her nurturing nature. Every ripe tomato and flourishing plant demonstrated her love for the earth and her desire to share goodness with those around her. She was a kind, loving, and giving person, always prioritizing the needs of others before her own. With a smile that could light up a room, she constantly extended a helping hand, embodying the true spirit of community and connection.
Kellie is survived by her companion of over 46 years, Tim Cadarette, they shared many journeys through life together. She is also survived by her mother, MaryAnn Alexander, siblings Marybeth (Jeff) Avery and Norman Alexander, as well as several nieces and nephews.
