June M. Dubie

June 12, 1935 — May 2, 2020

            June M. Dubie, age 84, of Alpena passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Precious Days AFC Home surrounded by her family.

            On June 12, 1935, June was born in Long Rapids, Michigan to the late Thomas and Margaret (Powell) Lewis. She married Arlie Dubie on November 28, 1958, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He preceded her in death after 60 years of marriage on July 21, 2019. June worked at Fraser Products and later for JcPenney for 20 years.  She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. June enjoyed sewing, being outdoors and loved spending time with her family.

     She is survived by her five children: Allison (Tom) Gilbertson of Alpena, MI; Amy (Dean) Eshom of Topeka, KS; Todd (Roberta) Dubie of Ossineke, MI; Tara (Peter) Smith of Summerville, SC; Angela (Howard) Smith of Holly, MI; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister: Ruth (Jerry) Snyder of Howell, MI; three sister-in-laws: Ethelene Lewis of Lachine, MI; Agnes Dubie of Herron, MI; Lila Burnash of Flint, MI and several nieces and nephews.

            June was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerry and Earl (Elsie)Lewis.  

           Arrangements were handled through the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. Private family Funeral Services were held by the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. A Community Celebration of June's life will be held at a later date and will be announced by the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.

            Interment: St. Rose Cemetery in Herron, Michigan

            In lieu of flowers memorials may be donated to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church: 3433 Herron Road; Herron, Michigan 49744 or Compassus Hospice: 12480 State Street, P.O. Box 635; Atlanta, Michigan 49709.
