Joanne 'Joan' Allene Reprogal

Joanne "Joan" Allene Reprogal, 90, of Alpena passed away February 13, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Joanne was born on September 29, 1931 in Jackson, Michigan to the late Floyd and Myrtle (Miller) Wilson. She married Leslie "Cliff" Reprogal on October 8, 1950 in Austin, Texas and together they enjoyed  65 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on March 11, 2016.  Joan loved being a mother and grandmother first and foremost.  She also enjoyed feeding the birds (even naming some), gardening and spoiling her cat.

Surviving are her four children: Mark (Yvonne) Reprogal of Parkers Prairie, Minnesota, Joette (Michael) McGuire of Mikado, Michigan, Karen (Wayne) Goodman of Godley, Texas, and David (Audrey) Reprogal of Alpena, Michigan.  Joan was a second mother to granddaughter, Amanda Ricks who survives as well as eighteen other grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Joan was predeceased by her daughter Cathy, two sisters and three brothers.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2022 at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home. Joan's final resting place will be the Mikado Cemetery with her husband.  Memorials in Joan's name may be made to Hospice of Michigan, 145 N.
