Joan Marie Szatkowski

Joan Marie Szatkowski, age 81, of Alpena, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, in Cedar Park, Texas.
Joan was born on April 17, 1935, in Rogers City, MI to the late Ralph and Ann (Meyers) Morley. On May 4, 1957, she married Richard Szatkowski in Rogers City, MI. He preceded her in death on February 1, 2011. She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church.
Joan is survived by her 6 children Pamela (Gregory) Kennedy of CO; Raymond Szatkowski of Alpena, MI; David Szatkowski of TX; Christina (Edward) Budnick of Spruce, MI; Elizabeth (Ronald) Smith of CO; and Timothy Szatkowski of Alpena, MI. Her 9 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her sister Kay (Richard) Garner of SC; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Theresa, her grandson James Cook, her four brothers Ralph, Donald, Ronald, and James Morley.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 pm until 8 pm with a parish prayer service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, January 16, 2017, at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 10 am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial begins with Fr. Joe Muszkiewicz officiating.
