'Jim' James Allen Harrison

            James (Jim) Allen Harrison, age 62, of Alpena went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at home following a brief illness.

            On June 17, 1956, James was born to the late Wilfred and Ethel (Serre) Harrison in Alpena, Michigan. He worked for the Besser Company as a Machine Operator for 35 years, retiring in June of 2017. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Leroy Hunting Club along with his Father and brother. Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman. Wildlife and his grandsons brought him great joy and a smile to his face. His grandsons were the light to his life. Jim will always be remembered for his hunting enthusiasm and love for his family and friends. He was a very dedicated and proud father and grandfather.

            Jim is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Ryan) Sauve of Alpena, MI; two grandsons: Conner and Lukas Sauve, his cousins, and his special friend and companion Tena Peterson.

            He was preceded in death by his brother David Harrison.

            Family and friends will gather on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 12 noon until the 2 pm Funeral Service begins at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home with Pastor Leslie Nye officiating.

            Internment: Grace Lutheran Cemetery

            In lieu of flowers donations may be made to friend's choice in Jim's memory.
