Jean Irene Lancewicz

Jean Irene Lancewicz, age 77, of Alpena Michigan, passed away April 16, 2022 in the town of Hillman Michigan.  Prior to opening Golden Girls, her adult care foster living facility, she ran an early childhood daycare out of her home.   She was an avid bowler, playing in numerous leagues with her mother Arlene, in which she successfully bowled a perfect 300 game earning her a beautiful gold trophy.  She had actively volunteered for her Catholic church as well as in her community. She enjoyed playing Euchre with her family and friends and was a member of numerous Euchre groups.  Our mother enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas or any local casinos with both family and friends.  Jean is survived by three daughters, Wendy and her husband, Shelly (Charles) Wyman, and Amy Martin.  Mom is also survived by her sister Joan (Robert) Wojciechowski, and brother Randall (Gloria) Moore, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  Mom is proceeded in death by her parents George and Arlene Moore, brother-in-law Robert LaLonde, and her first husband and soulmate Leif “Tony” Laniewski. 

The visitation will be held at Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home on Thursday April 21, 2022, from 1:00 P.M. until the time of Rosary Service at 7:00 P.M. A Prayer service will begin at 4:00 P.M. with Fr. Michael Lingaur officiating. On Friday April 22, 2022, there will be a private burial service for family at Holy Cross Cemetery at 11:00 A.M.
