James 'Jim' Alan Rasche

James Alan Rasche, age 60, of Ossineke, Michigan, was lifted by the hands of the lord on Sunday, May 14, 2017, surrounded by his family at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena. His spirit will live on through the many lives he touched.
James was born on June 9, 1956, to the late Leland and Delia (Burnash) Rasche in Alpena, Michigan. He married Marcia Wodowski on June 30, 1979 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Black River, Michigan. He was a barber for 39 years. James was a loving father and husband, a friend to many and an entertainer. He had a kind and gentle, yet outspoken big personality. He was always quick with a sarcastic remark or joke- he always knew how to make anyone laugh. James had many passions in his life. He loved to fish, hunt, and be outdoors. James was known as a "rock hound" as he loved to comb the beaches with his wife and daughters, in search of his beloved pudding stones. He was also a gifted musician and songwriter, which has provided a lifelong legacy that will always live on. He will greatly be missed by all of those that knew him, but will live on in all of our hearts.
Jim is survived by his loving wife Marcia of 37 years and their two daughters, Jessica (Mike Ames) Rasche of Freemont, MI; and Andrea (Matthew Ryswick) Rasche of Cedar Springs, MI. His four brothers Robert of Clinton, MI; Patrick and Michael of Black River, MI; and Rick Rasche of Alpena, MI.
He was preceded in death by his sister Janet Nowak.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Karpus- Hunter Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the Memorial Service begins at 1 p.m. at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. James Fitzpatrick officiating.
Internment: Mt. Joy Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
