Ignatius "Ace" Krajnik, age 78, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019, at Medilodge of Alpena.
On February 1, 1941, Ignatius was born to the late Joseph and Anastasia (Laniewski) Krajnik in Alpena, Michigan. He worked for Nemroc for a brief period of time. Ace was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council #529 Third Degree, Thunder Bay Water Shed Council and the Exception Friends of Alpena. He enjoyed being a clown at the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon in Alpena and winning many ribbons with his needle point work at the Alpena County Fair.
Ace is survived by his 3 brothers: Albert Krajnik of Grand Lake, MI; Casimir "Cash" (Ann) Krajnik of Moltke Twp., MI and Stanley Krajnik of Rogers City, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ace was preceded in death by his five brothers: John, Chester, Edmund, Aloysius "Alex" and Frank Krajnik, and two sisters Sophie Brooks and Irene Pastell.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 3 pm until 7 pm with a joint K of C and Parish Prayer Service beginning at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue on Saturday, April 13, 2019, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church of All Saints Parish from 10 am until the Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11 am with Fr. Joe Muszkiewicz officiating.
Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery
Memorials may be made to the Friendship Room in memory of Ace.
