Florence E. Widajewski

Florence E. Widajewski, age 90, of Alpena passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Kelly's Care Home surrounded by her family.

            On March 28, 1928, Florence was born to the late Frank and Eva (Momrik) Hodorowski in Metz, Michigan. May 8, 1948, Florence married Harry "Pete" Widajewski in Rogers City, Michigan, he preceded her in death on December 21, 1983. She worked as a sales clerk for Giantway retiring in 1988. Florence was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting and doing needlepoint.

            She is survived by her three children: Steve (Charlotte Robinson) Widajewski of Black Lake, MI; Lynette (Randy) Orban; Nancy (Larry "Hev") Losinski both of Alpena, MI; three grandchildren: Sarah McKay, Marcie McKay, and Ryan Widajewski; two great-grandchildren Jace Winkel and Taylor Widajewski; One brother Gerald Hodorowski of Haines City, FL; and her long time companion Russell See of Ontario, Canada.

            A Graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled through the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.

            Internment: Holy Cross Cemetery

            Memorials may be made to Hospice of Michigan in memory of Florence.
