Edward S. Laroche

Edward S. LaRoche, age 79, of Lachine, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena.

          Edward was born in Iron Mountain, MI, to the late Wilfred "Jack" and Frances (Fluke) LaRoche on July 13, 1941. He married Sylvia Garza on April 27, 1963, in San Diego, CA. Edward spent four years in the Marine Corps and went on to become a supervisor at Ford Motor company for thirty five years, retiring in 1995.

          He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sylvia and three children:  Tina LaRoche of Traverse City, Eddie LaRoche of Westland and J.P. LaRoche of Plymouth.  He also is survived by a grandson, Michael Allen II, a great granddaughter, Felicity Allen and two sisters: Yvonne (Mike) Hanlon of Santa Rosa, California and Janis Blanchett also of Santa Rosa, California.

          As per his wishes, Edward was taken from the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for cremation. A Committal Service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery in Herron, Michigan on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors accorded by the V.F.W. Post #2496.  A Celebration of Edward's Life will be held immediately following at the family home.   

Inurnment will be at St. Rose of Lima cemetery.
