Duane R. Clark Sr., age 80, of Alpena, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center of Alpena.
Duane was born on April 29, 1936, to the late John and Ruth (Palmer) Clark in Curran, Michigan. On April 29, 1957 he married Carol Stawowy in Angola, IN. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Alpena Elks Club. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, hunting, and fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Carol and their three children: Susan Shreve of Marysville, OH; Duane (Lynn) Clark Jr. and Nancy Clark both of Alpena, MI. His 8 grandchildren: Beth Ann McDonald, Ashley (Justin) Hippensteel, Mathew Clark, Elise, Emily, and Olivia Eden, Sarah Beegen, Andrew Klimczak, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Duane is preceded in death by his brother John "Jack" Clark.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Alpena Moose Lodge #571 (2630 Werth Road; Alpena, Michigan 49707), for a Celebration of Life Ceremony at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Scott Pfeifer officiating, followed by a fellowship until 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled through the Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home.

Celebration will begin on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM followed by fellowship until 4:00 PM at the Alpena Moose Lodge #571
