Dorothy V. Zawacki

Dorothy V. Zawacki, age 90, of Alpena, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Tendercare Alpena.
Dorothy was born on September 12, 1926 in Alpena to the late John and Edith (Egelski) Tadajewski. On October 20, 1945, she married Leo Zawacki, who passed away on January 28, 2007. She was a machine operator for Fraiser Products and Detroit Gasket Company retiring in 1968. Dorothy was an avid Bingo player who loved her family, pets, and trips to the casino.
She is survived by her five children: Richard Zawacki of Alpena; Sue (Michael) Dohring of Texas; John (Judy) Zawacki of Alpena; Marcia (Darrel) Milligan of Alpena; Mary Zawacki (Brian Millard) of Alpena. Her 8 grandchildren: Jennifer Sheldon (Chris Lucas), Christopher (Christina) Dohring, Amanda Dohring, Curtis Ravitz (Holly Zielaskowski), Jonathon and Jena Zawacki, Ali and Ami Milligan. Great grandchildren: Kyra Lucas, Jordan and Julianna Dohring, Christopher Molter-Ravitz.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Sandra Ravitz, her two sisters Gertrude Warsham, Delores Hilla, and her five brothers Theodore, Alex, Edmund, Walter, and Donald Tadajewski.
Dorothy has been taken from Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home for Cremation.
A Committal Service will be held at a later date.
