In loving memory of Donna Jean Wallace, who passed away on July 27, 2024, in Alpena, Michigan, the place that was not only her birth town but also the serene setting where she bid farewell to this world. Donna was born on March 16, 1942, to her beloved parents, Everett and Jeanette (Cramer) Birmingham. Alongside her in the journey of life was her brother, Wayne Birmingham, who shared in her joys and sorrows until his passing.
Donna Jean Wallace will always be remembered as a kind, loving, and caring individual—a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a loving grandmother, a supportive sister, and a cherished friend. Her presence brought warmth and compassion to all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with her.
One of Donna's proudest accomplishments was her unwavering dedication to supporting others on their path to sobriety through her work with Alcoholics Anonymous. Her guidance and leadership inspired many towards a life of sobriety and hope. Additionally, she selflessly contributed her time and energy as a volunteer for various organizations such as the housing commission and the Friendship Room. Her commitment to service touched the lives of many in need.
Throughout the years, Donna remained an active member of the DAV Ladies Auxiliary—showing her deep-rooted commitment to honoring and supporting veterans through community involvement. Her service-oriented spirit shone brightly in all facets of her life.
Donna Jean Wallace leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through the hearts of those she held dear. She is survived by her loving children: Julie (Brian) Bartosh, Robert Marsh, Everett (Theresa) Marsh; seven grandchildren: Nicholas, Nick, Angela, Tyler, Ashlee, Damen, and Danielle; as well as several caring nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory forever.
In honoring Donna's life, let us remember her with fondness and gratitude for the light she brought into our lives. May her spirit live on in our hearts as we carry forward the lessons of compassion and generosity that she so beautifully embodied.
