Danny Allen Wieschowski, age 56, of Alpena, Michigan, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at MyMichigan Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Danny was a kind and gentle soul. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Danny was born on June 23, 1967, to the late Sylvester and Lucille (Kasubowski) Wieschowski in Alpena, Michigan. After graduating from Alpena High School, Danny worked at NEMROC for over 20 years until his retirement.
With a love for the great outdoors, Danny would often be found hunting or fishing. He particularly enjoyed casting a line at Paradise Lodge with his nephew and best friend, D.J. or hunting with his nephew, Tommy. In addition to his passion for the outdoors, Danny was known for his loving devotion to spending time with his family and friends. He truly loved each of them – and if you knew him, you knew it. He cherished every moment spent in their company and was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. Even while battling illness these past few months, he continued to bring smiles, share advice, and show love and kindness to those around him.
Danny is survived by fourteen siblings: David Wieschowski, Mary (Richard) Bloom, Christine Fleck, Diane Masse, Kenneth Wieschowski, Rita (Kim) Stevens, Steve Wieschowski, Anthony Wieschowski, Sally Hatch, Timothy (Kathy) Wieschowski, Tina Hatch, Patty (Richard) Smith, Paul Wieschowski, and William Wieschowski, all from Alpena, Michigan, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Sylvester and Lucille Wieschowski; a brother, Dale Wieschowski; a sister-in-law, Glenda Wieschowski; two brothers-in-law, Tom Fleck and Randy Hatch; and two nieces, Brandi and Stacie Wieschowski.
Danny has been taken for cremation from Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home. A graveside service for family and friends will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:00am.
