Curtis E. Reynolds, 78, of Alpena, passed away at home May 8, 2023, surrounded by his beloved family. He was born July 30, 1944 in Alpena to the late Curtis and Norma (Diem) Reynolds. He married Genevieve Filipiak April 8, 1967 and they enjoyed 54 years of love together. She preceded him in death on November 29, 2021.
Curt was proud to be a Vietnam Naval Veteran, having served aboard the USS Currituck. He worked for many years at Fletcher Paper Company and was also a certified mechanic, repairing motors of all kinds, from tractors to lawn mowers, and everything in between. He enjoyed hunting, garage sales, meeting new people, and spending time with family.
He is survived by daughters Norma (Daniel) LaFave of Swartz Creek and Patti (Anthony IV) Grochowski of Alpena; sons Anthony (Rhonda) of Elmira and Steve (Jeanne) of Alpena; grandchildren Rachel, Dylan, Amanda (James), Ashley, Justin, Madison, Karlie, Dominic (Mekayla), Makayla, Tori, Kiara, Anthony V; great grandchildren Ryder, Sabrina, Rylee, and Delilah; siblings Thomas of Alpena and Karen (Greg) Buszka of Kingston, MA; brothers-in-law Anthony Filipiak and Jay Robarge, both of Alpena; sisters-in-law Elaine Filipiak of Durand, Christine Niedzwiecki of Pinconning, and Donna Reynolds of Alpena; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by his siblings: Donna Lou Reynolds, Wilma Jean Reynolds, Richard Reynolds, Eloise Shubert, Lynn Robarge, and Robert Reynolds.
Visitation to be held Friday, May 12, 2023 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church of All Saints Parish, 817 Sable St, Alpena, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Tyler Bischoff as celebrant. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Alpena Veteran’s Affairs, All Saints Parish, or Hospice of Michigan.
