Charles Edward Kennedy, 68, of Alpena, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his home. He was a kind, caring, and compassionate man that will be dearly missed. Charles was born on October 2, 1953 to the late George and Phyllis (Page) Kennedy in Alpena. There were many jobs that Charles performed in his life but none of them were as rewarding as when he was a Transporter for the Department of Health and Human Services. Charles also served his country in the United States Army. He loved spending time with people and getting to know them as he took them to doctors appointments. He often used the opportunity to minister to others and help them any way he could. There were many things that Charles enjoyed such as hunting, fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He loved being around his grandchildren, whether it was watching them playing sports, fishing, or just spending quality time. His family always had a special place in his heart.
Charles is survived by a son Charles (Shannon) Kennedy, three sisters, Bonnie (Nate Wojda) Duby, Diane Kennedy (Chuck) Kus, and Janet (Ken) Burton and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Phyllis, a brother, George (Jong) and niece Patricia Kennedy.
