Cathy Ann Bourdage, 66, of Alpena, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, May 2, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena. She was a loving, kind, compassionate, and selfless woman who was a joy to be around and will be missed by many. Cathy was born on June 20, 1955 to the late Romeo and Delphine (MacFalda) Bourdage in Alpena. Cathy enjoyed many things throughout her life such as flowers, gardening, camping, and visiting with others but nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her family. Especially when it came to supporting them in any and all events, she was always there. Cathy also enjoyed spending time with her close friends, and always put others before herself. For the last couple years, she worked with Leelin Home Health, but where she really made her mark was working at Thunder Bay Transportation Authority. She touched the lives of many in her time there until her retirement after 37 years of service.
Cathy is survived by a brother, Romeo (Leslee) Bourdage of Alpena, three sisters, Mary (Gary) Suszek of Hubbard Lake, Barbara (Brian) Tweedy of Arizona, and Janie Lloyd of Alpena, nieces and nephews, Naia (Dave) Suszek, Rheanne (Burke) Suszek, Nicholas Bourdage, Matthew (Chelsea) Mausolf, Jessica (Billy) Turnock, and Brenna (AJ) Bourdage, Mason, Garrett, River, and Hannah, and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Vicki (Mick) Fralick, and brother in law, Don Lloyd.
Cathy has been taken for cremation from Karpus Hunter & Ross Funeral Home. A private family graveside service will take place later this summer. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a memorial contribution to Parkinson’s Foundation or Hospice of Michigan. Online condolences may be registered at www.karpushuntercares.com
