Carol J. Mousseau

            Carol J. Mousseau, age 83, of Ossineke passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Medilodge Greenview.

            She was born in East Detroit, Michigan on May 6, 1936, to the late George and Agnes (Hawkins) St. Charles. On February 4, 1956, she married Bernard Mousseau at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineke, Michigan with Fr. Pelitier officiating. Carol was an OB Nurse at Alpena General Hospital for a brief period of time. She was a member of St. Catherine Church and St. Catherine Alter Society. Carol enjoyed spending her time sewing, attending to her flower gardens, and spending time with her family. 

            She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bernard and their five children: Jeanne (Mike) Cornelius of Spruce, MI; David (Gina) Mousseau of Redmond, WA; Ann (Dennis) McPherson of Elk Grove, CA; Paul (Pam) Mousseau of Jacksonville, FL; Mary (John) Pierson of Gainsville, VA; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother Thomas (Shari) St. Charles of Lachine, MI; one sister Joyce (Stephen) Hier of AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

            Carol was preceded in death by one sister: Marilyn Cain.

            Family and friends will gather for visitation on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Karpus-Hunter Funeral Home from 2 pm until 8 pm with a Parish Prayer Service at 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday, May 17, 2019, from 10am until the 11 am Mass of Christian Burial begins at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Ossineke with Fr. Bob Bissot officiating.

            Interment: St. Catherine Cemetery

            Memorials may be made to St. Catherine Catholic Church in memory of Carol.
