Barbara Ann Mallette, 64, of Alpena, passed away at her home on Monday, August 29, 2022. She was a loving, caring, and kind, woman and will be dearly missed by those who knew her. Barbara was born on August 11, 1958 to the late James Black and Esther Peplinski in Alpena. She loved her family more than anything especially her grandchildren. She loved to cook and always made enough to feed an army. Barbara also enjoyed shopping, going to the casino, and spending as much time as possible with her family.
Barbara is survived by her children, Tammy Mallette, Melissa Anderson, Bradley (Karlee) Anderson, and Jamie (Henry) Dean, nine grandchildren, Scotty, Cynthia, Coral, Kayden, Emmet, Addie, Benjamin, Eloise, and Penelope, one great grandson Brenden, a sister, Ida Falk, two brothers, James (Pat) LaFleur, and Butch (Kathy) Manning, her life partner for many years, Buzz Anderson, several nieces and nephews, and many great friends. She was preceded in death by a son Scott Mallette, a brother, Robert LaFleur, and two sisters, Beverly Hillman and Dawn Richards.
